Welcome to Kyrgyzstan!

Location: Kyrgyzstan is a small mountainous country in the center of the Asian continent, at the same latitude as Rome, New York and Sapporo in Japan. Kyrgyzstan is 199,900 sq. kms in size. Its neighbours include Kazakhstan to the north, Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the west and south and china to the south and east. Kyrgyzstan is indeed the heart of Central Asia. Over 93% of the country is mountainous, providing endless vistas of snow-capped peaks, countless valleys in gorges, numerous meadows and glaciers. The highest point in Kyrgyzstan is Peak Pobeda (7439 m.). While Kyrgyzstan does have a system of national park.
