Mustag-Ata Peak (7546 m)

Muztag Ata is an isolated massif rising from the western end of the Takla Makan Desert in the Sinkiang Province of China. It lies in the hub of the great mountain ranges of Asia, with the Karakoram to the south, the Pamir to the west and the Kun Lun and Tien Shan to the north.Muztagh Ata is the second summit of Tian-Shan by altitude. In local languages "Muztagh Ata" means "Ice Mountain's FatherAt 7,546m. Muztag Ata is perhaps the highest ski-able mountain in the world. It was eventually climbed in 1956 by a large Sino-Russian expedition. Three years later even this success was topped when 33 members of a Chinese expedition climbed it, 8 of who were women. The first ski ascent of Muztag Ata was made in 1980 by an American expedition led by Ned Gillette.

Muztagh Ata Peak Program (25 days):

1st Day Arrival in Bishkek, Guest House accommodation. Transfer: Bishkek - Naryn (Guest House or yurt accommodation)

2nd Day Transfer: Naryn - Torugart (Chinese Border). Torugard/Kashgar(BUS) Drive to the Torugart Pass, crossing the Kyrgyzstan-China border; meeting your guide from China, then escorted driving to Kashgar (3 hours). Hotel accommodation. (Incl:D) 

3rd Day Kashgar/Karakul Lake (bus 200kms 4-5 hours) we will drive along the Karakoram Highway winding for several hours through the narrow gorge of the Gez River. Then you ascend to an altitude of 3,900 metres by the shores of Karakul Lake, 196 km from Kashgar. Horses, yaks and camels graze on the rich pasturage. Guesthouse or yurt camp (Incl: B-L-D)

4th Day Trekking to Base camp In the morning we drive 10kms to Subashi and meet our camels and start the walk to base camp. With the camels carrying the team's equipment, we trek over a level plane and then climb steadily through barren hills to base camp, approximately a 4-hour walk. Drifts of alpine flowers clothe the slopes as base camp is approached and screeching marmots call a welcome. Camping (Incl: B.L.D)

5-20th Days Climbing Activity Period for climbing of Muztagata (16 days), which ask for building and supplying of three high camps. Celebrations at base camp on day 16. during the period of climbing we need to reserve 3-5 days for the bad weather. Camping (Incl: Food For B+L+D per day in base camp)

21st Day Base Camp/Subash/Kashgar(Trekking+Bus). In the morning we will go down to Subashi, again our gear will be taken by camels. At Subashi our transport to Kashgar will already be waiting and we will arrive there in early evening, again staying at hotel. Seman Hotel (3 Star) or Same class. (Incl: B+L+D)

22nd Day City tour at Kashgar, last day of the expedition. Our tour includes the tombs of Abakh Hoja Tomb, well-known Kashgar Bazzar, the famous Id Kah Mosque and the most unique old town with typical Uyghur styled homes. We visit the various shopping alleys full of noodle shops, bakeries, teashops, blacksmiths and carpenters. Seman Hotel (3 Star) or Same class. (Incl: B+L+D)

23rd Day Kashgar/Torugart Pass(bus). After breakfast,drive to the Torugart Pass; crossing the China-Kyrgyzstan border; (B). Transfer to Naryn, guest house or yurt accommodation. 

24th Day Transfer Naryn - Bishkek. Hotel. 

25th Day Transport to airport, flight home.

Services of mountain guide and porters are for the additional paymentConditions:Climbers ascend the mountains and choose tactics by themselves.Consultations of mountain guide is available in the Base Camp.It is necessary to bring the personal mountaineering equipment.In domestic flights Bishkek-Osh-Bishkek overweight more than 15 kilos including hand luggage costs $1 per additional kilo.Personal expedition equipment:
